Hello.
I’m Dr Helen Hobson.

I am a general practioner in Far North Queensland with over 15 years medical experience. Over that time I have come to recognize that there is no “one size fits all” as far as medical care and health advice is concerned. I aim to help my patients live their best life, accepting who they are and making the best of what they have in a sustainable and informed way.

We are all in the process of becoming formed and shaped by what we have seen, learnt and been encouraged to be. Our environmental, relational and psychological histories and experiences intersect with our physiological and genetic composition. This makes us layered, complex beings with multiple, dynamic needs and hopes. Complex is not problematic, it is inevitable. I anticipate this and I'm here to engage with the kaleidoscope of components that make you, you and to help guide you to live a life that enables an equilibrium and a healthy contentment.

Dr Helen Hobson obtained her medical science degree from Cambridge University in UK before moving to Australia. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University in Australia before pursuing her career in rural General Practice in Far North Queensland.
